Unanticipated consequences of working with cannabis

I would like to share a quick compliance lesson.

Under federal law (for the lawyers who read this, 18 U.S.C. §§ 842(d)(5), (i)(3)), a cannabis user may not receive explosives or take them across state lines.

Beyond being kinda funny, what is the point of sharing this? Simply that the collateral effects of dealing with cannabis are far-reaching and show up in unexpected places. The fact of doing business in cannabis means that you always need to think about the direct and indirect implications of those activities on nearly everything else.
