China passes new Data Security Law

On 10 June 2021, the National People’s Congress passed the People’s Republic of China Data Security Law, which will come into force on 1 September 2021. This law is expected to have a deep impact on data processing activities and business operations in China. We highlight some of the significant features of the DSL for companies that operate or do business in China.
