A Really Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and one cannabis company claims to have created a product that will make awkward family conversations less painful - cannabis-infused turkey gravy.

Yes, you read that right - cannabis-infused turkey gravy.

Just when you perhaps thought the industry could not get more creative, along comes Kiva Confections' headline-grabbing "limited-edition dish."  According to one report, "The company says it utilizes cutting-edge technology that allows the cannabinoids [in the gravy] to take effect in as little as two to 15 minutes, much faster than typical edibles."  The company is also planning to roll out "cannabis-infused hot cocoa that will be infused with the same fast-acting technology."

Of course, with any new product comes additional risk. Therefore, as any cannabis company brings a new product(s) to market, it should assess and understand its risk and potential liability and make sure it procures and maintains all necessary insurance coverage -- particularly, product liability insurance.

In the meantime, enjoy your mashed potatoes with gravy this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

"Awkward family dinner conversation? In just under 15 minutes you’ll start feeling the effects, so you can sit back, relax, and let the holiday cheer wash over you. " - Kiva Confections
