Singapore joins other nations as a founding member of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence

The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence is an international, multi-stakeholder initiative whose aim is to promote the responsible development and use of AI, grounded in human rights, inclusion, diversity, innovation, and economic growth.

GPAI seeks to collaborate with international organizations and leading experts from industry, governments, and academia on key issues such as responsible AI, data governance, the future of work, and innovation and commercialisation. On a more urgent basis, the group will look into studying how AI can be deployed to better respond to and recover from COVID-19.

The other founding members include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and the European Union.
