EPA Enforcement Focus: Stationary Engines

A recent US EPA enforcement alert targets air emissions from stationary engines. Companies in a variety of industries rely on stationary engines to support equipment like pumps and compressors and generate electricity. Given US EPA's enforcement focus, companies that utilize stationary engines should evaluate their stationary engines to ensure operations are in compliance with applicable air regulations.

To resolve the alleged violations, US EPA has required equipment upgrades and replacement and has collected six-figure civil penalties in some cases.
