As we recently reported, OSHA expanded its application of instance-by-instance citations and reiterated staff discretion to de-group violations in two recent directives to staff. These new directives may result in more aggressive OSHA enforcement and increased penalties. Employers should ensure their current health and safety policies are up-to-date and implemented in accordance with applicable standards.
