Major and independent labels sign Music Climate Pact

A fantastic initiative driven by UK music label associations, AIM and BPI, to accelerate global efforts to deliver net zero emissions. Labels will sign up to the SBTi Standard Commitment Letter (with science-based targets for reducing emissions) or the UN’s ‘Race to Zero’ campaign. Signatories will commit to: working together on creating carbon measurement tools; encouraging suppliers and streaming services to reduce their emissions; supporting artists who are speaking publicly about climate issues; and spreading the word about the music industry’s net zero initiatives.

"using the power of music to help inspire others in effecting meaningful change."
